The chal­lenge for this build was to cre­ate a home that would appeal to a sophis­ti­cat­ed buy­er with fea­tures that an emp­ty nester mov­ing from a larg­er more expan­sive home would enjoy. The result is an ener­gy effi­cient home which cre­ative­ly uses space in an attrac­tive, lux­u­ri­ous, and cost effec­tive way.

The own­ers want­ed an ener­gy-effi­cient facil­i­ty where they could pro­vide inde­pen­dent liv­ing, pal­lia­tive, and end-of-life care in Ontario, Cana­da.

As extreme weath­er events increase in fre­quen­cy and inten­si­ty, the demand for reli­able storm pro­tec­tion has nev­er been more urgent. These own­ers want­ed a 100% self-sus­tain­ing, off-the-grid home. Because of its ener­gy-effi­cien­cy and insu­la­tion prop­er­ties, Fox Blocks ICF was the per­fect solu­tion.

The Krafthaus home was built in the plains of Black For­est, Col­orado which meant a high water table (4’ below grade), poor soil qual­i­ty, and weath­er con­di­tions that includ­ed high wind gusts and snow drifts up to 5 feet tall.

The own­ers of this Sandy Hook A‑frame want­ed to enjoy the pris­tine views of Lake Coun­ty in a cus­tom home that was afford­able to build and main­tain.

Belling­ham Mod­ern Cre­ative Stu­dio Merges His­to­ry with Inno­va­tion. Sur­round­ing an 85-year-old build­ing, Hud­son Stu­dios is an inspi­ra­tional space that is qui­et and com­fort­able for artists and design­ers to cre­ate. The mod­ern design uti­lized local tim­bers from the North­west region and includes 47-foot-long beams that span the width of the build­ing.
